Kishk Laban making Experience:
Enjoy learning about a unique old traditional recipe of Kishk Laban pies with Bookagri woman farmer at her home garden. Kishk Laban is made of local wheat that is boiled and dried then mixed with thick goat’s yoghurt after which is being rolled in a shape of balls to be totally dry in the sun (a way to reserve goat’s milk and wheat when out of season) Kishk Laban is soaked in water before use and is mixed with diced onion to become the stuffing of a whole wheat grain dough to be baked in the traditional oven using firewood. Customers are asked to put their Bookagri apron and start making their Kishk Laban pies to be baked in the oven. Following is take the pies out of the oven and enjoy eating them with the Ajlouni traditional food with a great cup of tea.
